Upstart – How to: LoFi in the Age of AI
Join artist and designer Zoe Gibson for a hands-on session in getting organised, without relying on screens.
Together, we’ll design wall calendars and year planners using lo-fi materials like drawing, collage, and print. This workshop is especially for creatives who often juggle freelance work, multiple projects, and many hats—yet find digital planning tools overwhelming or uninspiring. Instead, we’ll explore playful, tactile ways of organising time— that work with your hands and imagination. Perfect if you: • Struggle with planning apps or computer-based systems • Prefer making with your hands • Want to bring creativity into your everyday organisation This workshop is open to all, but we would like to make room especially for people who identify as neurodivergent.
Zoe Gibson (b. 1995, based in Dundee) is a visual artist whose works combine sculpture, filmmaking, installation, mural painting and drawing. She explores themes of memory, myth, grief and domesticity and is inspired by folk art, festival, ritual and the Scottish landscape. Her practice is underpinned by a belief that art should be a deeply enmeshed part of everyday life and surroundings.
