Upstart – How to: Print a Collective
This workshop has been cancelled, due to illness. We apologise for any inconvenience.
What does it mean to work collectively—and how can print become a tool for organising, expression and community?
Join Dundee Print Collective and the Young People’s Collective for a workshop exploring the politics and possibilities of collective organising through the medium of print.
Together, we’ll discuss the power of collaboration, experiment with printmaking as a democratic form of expression, and consider how creative practices can build inclusive, socially engaged spaces. Come join the collectives and get printing!

Young People's Collective (YPC) co-design a year round programme of workshops, socials, meetings, trips and organise public events in collaboration with the teams across the museum as well as external partners across Dundee. YPC members get exclusive access to events and career opportunities. The YPC meet weekly to build networks, collaborate, gain experience and make things happen.
Dundee Print Collective was formed by artists based in Dundee, Scotland following the city hosting IMPACT8 International Printmaking Conference in 2013. The collective’s ethos is to encourage and engage both artists and individuals with no formal art training, to participate in collective projects. The collective’s principles are to promote printmaking as a creative and collaborative medium of expression, which is inclusive and socially engaging to a wide and broad demographic.
