Building a creative career as a neurodivergent artist
Aimed at young artists leaving school or college, this workshop offers practical guidance on making it in the creative sector. Together with Neuk Collective, you will cover the essentials of funding your art practice, finding support, and self-advocacy in professional settings. Learn how to navigate the creative world and build a career that suits your unique needs and talents.
This session will attempt cover some major issues for neurodivergent artists and designers. This will include advocating for yourself and finding support. This workshop will be run by neurodivergent artists and writers, peer sharing and support is a big part of the workshop.
This workshop is free and open to neurodivergent artists.

About the artists:
Neuk Collective is a group of neurodivergent artists set up in 2020 with support from Creative Scotland. Their work focuses on advocating for neurodivergent people in the arts.
Louise Fraser is a dyslexic neurodivergent teaching artist, their teaching and practice are based around making to think and understand, working with people to find the right way for them to engage with art and making.
Elspeth Wilson is an award-winning writer across different mediums who is interested in how we live in our bodies and how we make them homes. Working as a creative writing facilitator and mentor with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusivity.
