Opens Saturday 21 November

Discover the story of NCR Dundee and its global impact

Explore the history of NCR in Dundee and discover how the city’s skilled workforce helped shape the way money is used and managed around the world.

This exhibition traces 80 years of NCR (National Cash Registers) in Dundee, from the company’s arrival in the city in 1946 to its role today as NCR Atleos.

Known locally as ‘The Cash’, NCR has played an important role in the lives of generations of Dundonians. From cash registers to cash dispensers and beyond, the display celebrates the people behind the technology and explores the company’s lasting impact on both the local community and the global financial industry.

Today, NCR Atleos Dundee continues to build on this legacy, developing technologies that help shape the future of financial services.
