Making V&A Dundee: In ink and charcoal
We're celebrating everyone involved in making V&A Dundee a living, breathing museum. We spotted Ann's beautiful picture of the museum on Twitter and asked the artist to reflect on her work.

I live and work as an artist in Edinburgh and recently had the opportunity to visit Dundee. Driving across the Tay Road Bridge, I was full of anticipation for my first glimpse of the eye-catching structure of V&A Dundee.
The design is inspired by the cliffs on Scotland’s north east coast and the setting by the Tay River is quite spectacular.
I wanted to respond to the building in a painting. I decided to use ink and charcoal to capture the striking form and bold contrasts of light and shadow.
The museum is such an exciting and inspiring place, I definitely hope to visit again soon.
