We are delighted that V&A Chairman Sir Paul Ruddock has been awarded the prestigious de la Culture Arts Patronage Award and been recognised at international level for his commitment to the arts.

Paul has worked tirelessly for the V&A since the 1990s and has been on the Board of Trustees since 2002, and Chairman since 2007. He has not only been very generous with his time, but has also been one of the most significant donors to the V&A and has been instrumental in attracting other major donors. In addition to his V&A work, he supports a variety of other arts organisations such as the British Museum and Courtauld Institute as well as philanthropic causes around the world.

In keeping with his ongoing support of the V&A, Sir Paul Ruddock is donating the Montblanc prize money to the Museum to purchase a work of contemporary design.
