As part of the V&A hosting this year’s Prix Pictet exhibition, we are inviting families to come and create their own work inspired by artists in the show. The Prix Pictet is a photography prize which shows series of works that investigate issues around sustainability. Each year has a specific theme, with this year’s being “Consumption“.
The workshops will show you how to make work in the style of two artists in the exhibition. Try your hand at creating scanned images of the objects we use and consume in our everyday lives in the style of Hong Hao‘s work or use satellite photography to explore the impact of industry on landscapes like Mishka Henner. Our friendly and helpful workshop leaders will lead you through each process and you are then free to let your creativity and imgination run wild.
Here are some examples of the work that families made last week…
Digital Kids takes place in the Learning Centre on Level 3 of the museum and is free to take part.
The workshops run from 11.00 – 16.00 and are drop – in so you can join us whenever you like!
