Opening weekend: new way to get tickets

July 26, 2018

During our opening weekend you will need a free, pre-booked ticket to enter the museum. We chose this approach to avoid queues and disappointment on the opening weekend itself. The booking process did not go right and we’re sorry to those of you who experienced issues.

We gave our e-news subscribers the chance to book a limited number of tickets ahead of general release before booking for the rest of the tickets opened to everyone on Thursday 26 July, on a first come, first served basis.

Due to the exceptionally high interest in visiting the museum on opening weekend, many people experienced problems due to technical difficulties. To make the process as fair as possible, we invite you to provide your details via this form before midnight Thursday 26 July to be entered into the ballot for the remaining 3000 tickets.

We will be back in touch to let you know if you have been successful by Wednesday 1 August.

Please save my name and my husbands for tickets for opening weekend.

Lucky me I’ve got tickets in the draw!
See you soon.

Was very lucky to be selected from the draw. However I returned from holiday on 22nd August and tried entering my details with no success. R-tried 23/8 and couldn’t understand why I could not get through to retrieve tickets. It was then having re-read the offer ran out on the 22nd. is there at all the possible chance I can still retrieve these tickets. Totally devastated I may have lost out by one day.

Does the tickets for the 3D festival on Friday 14th for Slessor Gardens get you access to the museum also?

Does the person who won recieve the tickets or do they get sent out individually to who they are taking? Does anyone know?
