This thigh-length cotton kimono-style open jacket is created by contemporary Japanese designers Rumi Rock, a Tokyo brand known for their edgy reinterpretations of traditional Japanese illustration styles. The Hair Wave pattern is inspired by the beautiful hairstyles seen in Edo-era ukiyo-e woodblock prints. A Rumi Rock kimono featuring this same pattern is included the V&A exhibition Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk.
