C.F.A. Voysey (1857-1942) was one of the most innovative Arts and Crafts designers. He had a highly original style which combined simplicity with sophistication. He is particularly famous for his wallpaper and textile designs which feature stylised bird and plant forms with bold outlines and flat colours. This watercolour shows a tree full of birds from all over the world, each bird is named in beautiful calligraphy.
This print is mounted and supplied flat, in a board-backed cello bag.
