Senior Curator, Sculpture, Metalwork, Ceramics & Glass

I am a Senior Curator in the Department of Sculpture, Metalwork, Ceramics & Glass responsible for our collections of European Base Metals and Arms and Armour from around 1450-1900. The collections include brass, pewter, cutlery, cut steel, edged weapons, firearms, armour, Sheffield Plate, electroplate, electrotypes, 19th-century silver, scientific instruments and locks and keys. I am Lead Curator of the V&A's 19th-Century International Galleries Project (South Court) and Cast Courts Interpretation Gallery, a Trustee of the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum, Editor of the Journal of the Antique Metalware Society, a committee member of the Antique Metalware Society, a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers and a member of the Project Advisory Board of Churchill's Chartwell. When not immersed in museum work or family I am usually out cycling, running, reading history, listening to music or watching comedy.
