We are delighted to announce a new open call for applications targeted at Danish ceramic artists as part of a new collaboration with the Danish Arts Foundation.
The residency will be based in a purpose-built studio in the Ceramics galleries at the V&A South Kensington. It will take place over a six-month period from mid-April to the end of September 2018 and is open to professional Danish ceramic practitioners who are active in the contemporary art and design field. We welcome applications from Danish nationals based in Denmark, the UK and abroad.
The Museum will provide a £10,000 bursary, one standard return flight (for applicants based outside the UK), an accommodation stipend of £6,000, up to £1,000 for the shipment of works outside of the UK by the end of the residency (when applicable) and an additional budget of £1,500 for materials needed for production of any public facing activities or displays.
A team drawn from the Museum’s staff will provide support throughout the project. We are interested in receiving applications from practitioners who wish to work with the Museum’s resources and collections and would welcome the opportunity to actively work on projects with the public. Applicants must have a working knowledge of spoken and written English.
Deadline for applications – Midnight, Friday 22 December 2017.
Interview date – Wednesday 10 January between 10 am and 5 pm London time (via skype).
