Pay tribute to an icon of Black London culture with this soft organic cotton t-shirt. Created exclusively for the V&A, the nostalgic t-shirt references the unforgettable theme tune of the classic '90s TV series Desmond’s.
Norman Beaton recorded the theme song in his inimitable style, and also played Desmond Ambrose, owner of the eponymous Peckham barbershop.
A perfect gift for a music lover, the t-shirt serves as a reminder to think twice before leaving a scratch in someone else’s treasured vinyl: soca refers to the fusion of soul and calypso, music genres with Afro-Caribbean and South Asian heritage.
