The schizzato (splattered glaze) technique started as a quick and economic solution to dressing up everyday objects, and is now emblematic of ceramic production in Italy. 

This cobalt blue splattered side plate is perfect for serving Italian biscotti and cannoli.

• Italian Splatteware ceramics are individually-made, meaning each piece is unique. Minor imperfections are completely normal due to the hand-painted nature of the item. This does not affect the quality or use of the product

Returns

 

We hope you are happy with your V&A Shop purchase. However, if you are not, most items are eligible for a full refund if returned within 28 days of receipt.

Refunds are offered for items in an unused, unopened condition, and with original packaging – with exceptions as below. This does not affect your statutory rights.

The following items are excluded from our returns policy and cannot be refunded unless faulty, damaged, or not as described:

  1. Custom prints and other items made to your specification or personalised;
  2. Items that have been sealed for hygiene reasons, where the seal has been broken, such as beauty products, soap, pierced earrings, hosiery, socks, sunglasses and face coverings;
  3. Perishable or edible items such as flowers or food;
