Uniting East London designers across centuries, this one-of-a-kind t-shirt was exclusively created in collaboration between V&A East and London fashion designers Imprint Works.
Design for Silk, a delicate pattern created around 1735 by Anna Maria Garthwaite, who lived and worked in Spitalfields, East London, has been reimagined by independent local design studio Imprint Works.
Each t-shirt, made of mid-weight soft organic cotton, is individually screen-printed in multiple layers, with slight differences making each piece unique.
