These fans are woven by female weavers in and around Bolgatanga, Ghana, using tough and versatile elephant grass which grows abundantly in the area. An array of colours and patterns are hand-dyed using vegetable-based pigment.
Mmaa is a social collective focused on empowering women and promoting African artisans.
Please note, these fans are an assorted collection; each pattern is completely unique and colours vary.
