These beautiful trays are woven by female weavers in and around Bolgatanga, Ghana, using tough and versatile elephant grass which grows abundantly in the area. Their trays are then hand-dyed using vegetable-based pigment to achieve deep tones of teal, tan and orange.

Mmaa is a social collective focussed on empowering women and promoting African artisans.
