This bright, decorative silk scarf design is based on a traditional 19th-century Korean wrapping cloth, or Bojagi, housed in the V&A collection. An array of traditional symbols are depicted on the scarf: two vase-like containers, known as Horobyung, wish prosperity on the lineage of a family, while the two curved horns known as Seogak most likely symbolize luck or happiness.
