A nightwear essential, this lightweight cotton dress falls to a mid calf length and features a square neckline, cut slightly lower at the back. The bodice, sleeves and hem are embellished with embroidery edged with Broderie Anglaise.
Translating from French into "English embroidery", Broderie Anglaise is a type of whitework needlework characterized by patterns of eyelets creating a lace-like effect, popular in England in the 19th century.
