Maison Bengal is a social enterprise with the goal of creating reliable employment opportunities for disadvantaged people in Bangladesh. This shopper is made by local craftspeople, often mothers and young women, who are trained in handicraft production. The bag is created from locally grown natural jute, an eco-friendly rain-fed crop that doesn’t require pesticides or fertiliser. The resulting product is sustainable, Fairtrade, stylish and hardwearing.
