Pink and green parrots meet in a garden abundant with flowers and berries on this colourful cotton apron, featuring a design adapted from a wallpaper pattern created by Kathleen Kersey in 1911, held in the V&A archive.

Kersey was one of several women designers to create patterns for Morris & Co. and contribute to the company's success.
