Details
Mexican designer Iris De La Torre creates unique jewellery from her workshop in London, exploring the creative possibilities of plastic. With a focus on colour, playfulness and joy, De La Torre’s laser-cut acrylic pieces take influence from Mexican folklore and 1960s graphic design, with a modern spin. This brooch shows Victoria and Albert on their wedding day, with sprays of orange blossom in Victoria’s hair, a flower associated with betrothal.
Created exclusively for the V&A, to coincide with the re-opening of the Jewellery Gallery.
