This beautiful statement necklace is the work of Védie, the Parisian costume jeweller known for their work with numerous prestigious fashion houses and couturiers. This piece is created using a technique known as gripoix, first developed in Paris in 1868. A soldering torch is used to place molten glass directly into a metal frame, before the addition of elements such as crystal, metal and faux pearls, creating spectacular pieces.

Ciléa
Known for their remarkable designs in richly coloured acetate and cellulose Ciléa Bijoux was founded in Paris in 1992 by Stéphane Ravel. Continuing a long tradition of sophisticated French jewellery-making, among the techniques used is “Gripoix”, developed in Paris in 1868 and used by Chanel since about the 1920’s.
