Details
Lynn Hatzius is a collage artist and illustrator originally from Germany. After 17 years living and working in London, she relocated to a rural area outside Stockholm, where the natural world has become a recurring and important theme in her work as an artist and throughout her design and illustration commissions.
 
Her third exclusive print for the V&A, Garden Party continues the artist’s use of vintage engravings to assemble intricate scenes in which imagined characters come to life through humorous anthropomorphism.
For this piece, Lynn drew inspiration from the museum's costume and fashion collections to dress an array of birds from around the world.
