Part of Nana Shiomi’s Tea Bowl series, this exclusive limited edition woodcut print represents a decorated tea bowl found in the V&A collection. Nana Shiomi is a London-based artist echoes the styles of traditional Japanese woodblock printmaking to create contemporary works examining her Japanese heritage. Inspired by a stoneware tea bowl decorated in underglaze blue found in the V&A’s East Asia collection, this piece was printed by hand by Shiomi using a baren on high-quality Japanese paper, creating a beautifully saturated composition.
