This exquisite textile design, created by C.F.A. Voysey in 1919, depicts scrolling tree branches with brightly coloured details including sheep, nesting birds, squirrels and a boy in a red cap playing a pipe.
Voysey was an architect, textile and furniture designer, born in Yorkshire in 1857. He is remembered for his dense yet simple representations of the organic, with a focus on botanical and animal imagery.
