Details
Carved into Japanese lino, Somerset-based artist Harriet Popham has created this intricate print in reference to a Greek Oenochoe from the V&A collection, employing a classic Hellenic colour palette. The details on the vase capture the experience of a visit to the museum, from cake and coffee in the iconic John Madejski Gardens, to the unfolding layers of ornate architecture. The sweeping staircase invites us to further explore further rooms filled with vast sculptures, delicate jewellery and decorative textiles.
Trained in Printed Textiles at Swansea College of Art, Harriet now works from the Somerset countryside. Her work is a celebration of experiences intricately carved within playful compositions.
Created exclusively for the V&A.
