More about this Exhibition

Paul Strand meticulously staged his photos and posed the sitters to create an authentic depiction of life at a certain time and in a particular place.

Angela Secchi was photographed, aged 9, by Strand for his Un Paese series and still vividly remembers what it was like to be photographed by him. In this film, we explore Strand's technique and share Angela's memories of that day in 1953.
