Fashion in Motion: Swarovski – runway rocks

Fashion in Motion is a series of live fashion shows at the V&A featuring leading fashion designers from across the world. Swarovski presented a unique collection of specially-commissioned jewels for our catwalk.

Swarovski, the world's leading manufacturer of cut crystal was established in Austria in 1895 and has a long tradition of links with the fashion and jewellery industry. Collaborations in the 1950s with Christian Dior and Coco Chanel, amongst others, resulted in spectacular avant-garde crystal jewellery.

The featured designers, all linked to fashion and jewellery, were asked to merge fashion, body ornament and jewellery, and innovate with crystal to create their ultimate runway jewellery piece.
