It Could Be You! 2016 Illustration Awards: Entry now open

Last year, Daphne Christoforou – a final year student at the RCA – uploaded images of NO-THING, a sumptuous illustrated textile of astute, finely-detailed ink-drawings.

Daphne ChristoforouNO-THING was one of nearly a 1000 entries submitted to the 2015 V&A Illustration Awards. Seven months later Daphne was crowned the Student Illustrator of the Year and took home the coveted marble trophy and a cheque for £2000.

Sterling Hundley’s deft and painterly illustrations for the Folio Society edition of Treasure Island (below) wowed the competition judges and won Sterling the 2015 category prize for Best Illustrated Book as well as the Overall winner of the 2015 competition. His cheque was for £4,000.

Dear V&A,
I just wanted to clear up whether I can apply for this competition. Reason being I am 18, turning 19 this October and will be a Humanities student at University. I am asking because I want to apply for 2017 Illustration Awards. Thank you.
