During this session, you will learn from suzani embroidery artist Yulduz Mukhiddinova about the history and motifs used within suzani and create your own small, embroidered piece to take home.

This workshop provides an insight into the art form upon which Aziza Kadyri’s installation, ‘Sender Unknown,’ is based. Yulduz Mukhiddinova has been an artistic collaborator with Aziza Kadyri since 2022 contributing to numerous exhibitions in the UK, Uzbekistan, and Switzerland.

All materials will be provided, and no prior knowledge of sewing or embroidery is required. These workshops are free to attend but capacity is limited to 25 people per session.

This event is part of the V&A's Jameel Programme, celebrating 20 years of the Jameel Gallery with Community Jameel. With support from the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation.
