This international conference marks the outstanding contribution to Anglo-German cultural relations of four key figures whose bicentenaries we celebrate in 2019: Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, George Eliot, and Theodor Fontane. Discover the interactions between 19th-century Britain and Germany through four major themes: literature and philosophy, travel, science and knowledge, the arts and music.
