This month, celebrate our new exhibition Donatello: Sculpting the Renaissance with us after hours.
To mark the opening of Donatello: Sculpting the Renaissance, this Friday Late explores our relationship with our bodies. Donatello was a pioneer in sculpting the body in revolutionary ways, depicting the human emotive spectrum, from suffering and grief to courage and joy. Breaking with accepted beauty standards in his time, Donatello’s honest gaze resonates today. Unpacking legacies of the Renaissance and how this has shaped our understanding of the artistic canon, this Friday Late celebrates all bodies, their possibilities and expressive potential.
