Join author and University of Bristol Professor of the History of Slavery Olivette Otele in conversation with V&A Director Tristram Hunt as she traces a long African European heritage through the lives of individuals both ordinary and extraordinary. By exploring a history that has been long overlooked, she sheds light on questions of racism, identity, citizenship, power and resilience – issues that are very much alive today.
