Today's appetite for fast fashion is having a major impact on our environment. It's never been more important for designers to harness their creativity to develop ingenious solutions to boost the fashion industry's green credentials. Explore the concept of 'zero-waste' pattern design through iconic designs such as the 'Envelope' dress by Cristobal Balenciaga. Watch Juliana draft a pattern and have a go at creating your own. The Q&A function will be live throughout the session to put your questions direct to Juliana.

You will need the below for each student:
• 4 or 5 sheets of A4 paper (preferably recycled)
• A set-square or ruler
• A pencil
• Scissors

This schools only session will be held on Zoom, and ticket holders will receive a link to view live on the morning of the event. Suitable for KS4 & 5 Art & Design and Design & Technology. If you have any queries about booking your session, please get in touch on schools@vam.ac.uk
