Nandini Das: This Little World photo
Award-winning author Nandini Das is professor of Early Modern English Literature and Culture and Fellow of Exeter College at Oxford University. Join her for a discussion of her latest work, This Little World, which tells a new history of Tudor and Stuart England through the lives of those who crossed its borders – merchants and migrants, sailors and spies, pilgrims and exiles.

Drawing on extensive archival research, Das will present a startlingly new, globally resonant vision of England’s past, as a nation on the cusp of empire, reframing England’s story within a wider world, and challenging some of our most fundamental ideas.

Das will be in conversation with Alex von Tunzelmann,  an internationally bestselling and Wolfson Prize shortlisted historian.
