Award winning costume designer Sandy Powell is known for her endless curiosity, daring and imagination, while often challenging established perceptions and exploring identities – exemplifying many of the lessons women and girls have taken from the Alice stories. She is also passionate about working collaboratively and supporting new talent – shown for example by her fundraising ‘Autograph Suit’, signed by 200 of the most significant names in the film industry. The suit is now part of The Female Lead, an educational foundation for women, which has worked closely with Powell, including featuring her in their book ‘We Rise by Lifting Others.’

STAYING SAFE
The V&A has put numerous health and safety measures in place to ensure the museum is a safe, relaxing and inspiring place for our patrons and visitors. We have taken steps to ensure that all V&A sites are reasonably COVID-19 secure with cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance. Hand sanitiser will be available, and face coverings are recommended. Some may choose not to wear face coverings, so please take this into account when deciding to book. A level of social distancing will be maintained, including limiting capacity in the Lecture Theatre.
