Take part in activity from sculpture to costume, zine-making to textiles. Celebrate the rich creativity and cultures of east London and enjoy access to the incredible V&A collections at V&A East Storehouse.
Join artist Sally Barton to make your own banners, inspired by the aesthetics, design and visual language of industrial and social history in east London and political campaigns of the past and present.
Whether you are interested in political campaigns, industrial history or the use of banners in contemporary settings such as football matches and music festivals, this workshop will welcome discussion and exploration of identity, community and voice.
All materials will be provided.
No previous experience needed.
These two hour sessions are for anyone aged 16-24 years, living, working or studying in east London.
Please double-check that you are available for an event before booking tickets. If the V&A needs to cancel the event due to an emergency, or for any reason beyond the control of the V&A, we will reschedule your booking for a later date where possible.
Please book here in advance. There will be limited drop-in spaces available on the day, capacity dependent.
