Jewellery accompanies all of us through life, from cradle to grave. Throughout history, jewels have been more than simply adornment - they are worn as symbols of status, as signs of authority and distinction, as symbols of faith or protective amulets. Personal to the wearer, jewels express devotion, love, grief and hope. Learn about their history and significance in this taster lecture recording.
