Poulomi Basu is a neurodiverse artist known for her exploration of the interrelationship between systems of power and bodies through work that exists at the limits of art, film, technology and activism.
Join her, in conversation with author and design critic Alice Rawsthorn, to discuss the new immersive installation "Maya: The Birth of a Superhero". This VR experience, co-directed with CJ Clarke, is an odyssey of womanhood and femininity, referencing ancient symbols of spiritual and feminine power, drawing together the real and the imaginary to trace possible paths to resilience and justice.

This event is very popular and places are limited. For guaranteed entry with ticket please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, latecomers will not be accommodated. First come first served general admission opens 10 minutes before the event.

Experience "Maya: The Birth of a Superhero" at the V&A from 16 to 24 September in the John Lyon's Community Gallery. This experience is free, and places are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Note: virtual reality (VR) headsets are designed for ages 13+.
