From the Titanic to the Normandie, ocean liners remain powerful and admired symbols of 20th century modernity. Join this one-day conference and explore liner design from French Art Deco palaces to the contemporary Queen Mary 2 and discover the impact of these ships on art and literature. Speakers will include Kelly Hoppen, interior designer, Iain Sinclair, writer and filmmaker, Stephen Payne, architect of the QM2, as well as the curators of our Ocean Liners: Speed and Style exhibition.
