How have art museums changed in the past century? Where are they headed? Charles Saumarez Smith is uniquely qualified to answer these questions, having been at the helm of three major British institutions over the course of his career. Join him in association with the publication his new book from Thames & Hudson on the subject, in conversation with BBC arts editor Will Gompertz for an insightful discussion of the continuing evolution of the art museum.

This talk will be held on Zoom, please email membershipevents@vam.ac.uk if you've not received the link by midday on the day of the event. The talk will also be recorded, and available to view for ticketholders after the event.
