The Magic Thrills of Her: Untold Stories of Women Illusionists photo
A premiere of a new work by Olivier Award-winning Showwoman and performance artist Marisa Carnesky, The Magic Thrills of Her explores the herstory of women in magic and speciality performance.

Featuring live vintage magic illusions performed by rising cabaret star Sarjana Singh and cabaret performer and seamstress Sarah Munro, with a film from award-winning spoken word artist Livia Kojo Alour.

Carnesky showcases archival materials of extraordinary performers from the early 20th Century, reflecting on how stage illusions and extraordinary variety acts can take on new interpretations through a contemporary feminist lens, drawing reference to women's bodily experiences of change.
