Play Saturdays (Sept-Dec 2026)
Bring the whole family to get involved in different play activities every Saturday
Join us for FREE, drop-in sessions for families at Young V&A!
Explore exciting play adventures with our friendly team of Play Champions in our interactive galleries and on Town Square. Activities change regularly, rotating between our Play, Imagine and Design Galleries.
Saturday 7th November 2pm-4pm
On Saturday 7th November, Play Saturdays will take place at the slightly later time of 2pm and will run until 4pm to celebrate the Power of Play Project.
Join the Play Champions and our Power of Play partners for an afternoon of creative play for all the family. Have fun, create and celebrate the joy of play in our Community Room.
Saturday 28th November
Join British-Turkish choreographer Ceyda Tanc and her dancers for a fun creative movement workshop for children ages and their families. All abilities are welcome to join us in this relaxed and friendly session with influences from Turkish folk dance.

Twirl, whirl, play, and dance along to music with scarves and props!
All our events are family activities, where adults are required to participate alongside their children.
This activity is part of Young V&A’s Power of Play programme. The Power of Play is a collective impact consortium to bring quality learning-through-play to children in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The project is funded by the LEGO Foundation and coordinated by the LEGO Group in London. Young V&A is participating in the project alongside the Institute of Imagination, Save the Children and EasyPeasy and Ambition Aspire Achieve.
