Coinciding with our exhibition Fashioned from Nature, fashion sustainability experts Bridget Harvey and Arianna Nicoletti invite you to think about the materials of fashion and the sources of our clothes. Both artists’ practice focus on and draw attention to the problems in our fashion industry today including sustainability, politics and education.

Bridget Harvey, Fashioned from Nature Resident, is working with our collections to research historic repair models and translate them into contemporary objects and materials. Arianna Nicoletti, Goethe V&A Sustainable Fashion Resident, is a leading activist in the field of upcycling fashion and part of the founding team behind the renowned Berlin-based Upcycling Fashion Store.

Arianna Nicoletti's residency is in collaboration with Goethe-Institut London.
