Mino Washi: Japanese Papermaking Workshop
Discover the art of Mino Washi, a traditional Japanese papermaking craft with over 1,300 years of history.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about the process behind one of Japan's most celebrated craft traditions, watch a live demonstration by a Mino Washi artisan, and try making your own sheet of washi paper using the traditional tools of the craft.
Each session is 30 minutes and is limited to 6 participants to ensure an intimate experience.
The paper you create will need approximately one hour to dry — you will be able to collect your finished piece to take home before leaving the exhibition.

Iga Kumihimo: Japanese Braided Cord Keychain Workshop
Learn the art of Iga Kumihimo, a traditional Japanese braided cord craft rooted in Buddhist ritual and samurai history.
In this workshop, hosted by Iga Kumihimo artisans, you will discover the history and techniques behind this intricate craft before creating your own braided keychain using Macramé braiding techniques — choosing your own combination of thread colours to take home.
