Play Thursdays (Aug 2026)
Bring the whole family to get involved in play activities outside on Thursday afternoons over the Summer holidays from 6th August until 20th August.
Stamp and Seek.
Join the Play Champions for play activities with a design focus. Explore and collect textures, then have a go at printing them onto fabric. The fabric made will be used by our Designer in The Shed Christie Swallow to make bird houses for the gardens at Young V&A.
Activity will take place outside on the North Lawn. In wet weather or extreme heat, activities will take place in the Town Square or around the museum. Ask members of staff for updates on the day.
All our events are family activities, where adults are required to participate alongside their children.

This activity is part of Young V&A’s Power of Play programme. The Power of Play is a collective impact consortium to bring quality learning-through-play to children in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The project is funded by the LEGO Foundation and coordinated by the LEGO Group in London. Young V&A is participating in the project alongside the Institute of Imagination, Save the Children and EasyPeasy and Ambition Aspire Achieve.
