Would you like to learn a new skill and get behind the scenes of the National Art Library? Take a moment to have a close look at the beautiful craftsmanship of books and library collections. Join Youth Collective's book-binding workshop to express yourself through creating and decorating

There will be a display of some remarkable items from the Library’s collection on the topics of: the illustrated book, book bindings, chap books to zines, and artists books. There will also be Museum Archives on show. Star objects will be chosen by the Youth Collective on each table!

Take part: 

Create 

Make your own book to take-away with you. The Youth Collective team will take you through the production of a Japanese pin binding in a 45 minute workshop.  All skill levels welcome!

Decorate 

Materials will be available for you to either fill the pages of your pin bound book, or to just respond to the Library’s collection.
