This temporary and exploratory pin-up showcases films, and 72 objects outside of the V&A’s own collection, that either travelled from the Caribbean, or were purchased in the UK by Caribbean migrants within the last 70 years. The exhibition, co-curated by a total of 17 Caribbean creatives, examines the social, cultural, political and historical representations of Caribbean art and popular culture. To close the day, celebratory performances will be taking place in the Lydia and Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre, 16.00 – 17.00.
