V&A Schools Webinar Live: Careers Insight - Graphic Illustration

In this special webinar for Secondary, we are joined by manga artist, Chie Kutsuwada. Chie creates manga illustrations and stories as well as collaborating with other authors on young adult fiction. In the session, students will have the chance to hear about how Chie developed her style and career as an illustrator. There will also be the opportunity to follow along with some simple drawing activities, learn some top tips and get advice about working in the world of graphic illustration.

Following the drawing activities, we will have a live Q&A with the artist, where students can put their questions to Chie.

The session will also include an introduction to the Japan collections at the V&A from curator, Mary Redfern.

This session is suitable for Key Stages 3 – 5 students and will be hosted on Zoom. For the session each student will need around 5 sheets of A4 paper and a pencil to take part in the activities.
